New surroundings, a nervous first lesson, a skill that has not clicked yet. Instruction can adapt without losing sight of progress.
A structured progression helps swimmers and families understand what they are learning, not simply which class they attend.

After the introductory month, receive 10% off each additional eligible family member’s monthly tuition while enrolled together. The highest-priced eligible enrollment remains at regular tuition.
The Trident Method
Six connected pillars give swimmers a clear path forward. Dynamic Swim Instruction gives instructors room to change how a skill is taught when a swimmer needs a different cue, pace, demonstration, or approach.
Simple progress language helps explain what has been introduced, what is developing, and what is becoming consistent.
Planned family app
We plan to give families a place to view swimmer skill progress and manage lesson payments through an app. Instructors will keep you informed about practice and next steps.
App access will be shared when enrollment is ready.
Colby Madden is a swim instructor and elementary PE teacher who brings patient encouragement and clear, achievable steps to each lesson. His background in competitive swimming and teaching children helps him adapt to different ages, abilities, and levels of confidence.
Whether a swimmer is nervous about putting their face in the water or ready to refine a stroke, Colby takes time to notice what helps them learn. He founded Trident to bring that personal attention, consistent instruction, and open communication to more families.
Meet Colby & learn about TridentTrident is preparing to launch year-round indoor swim lessons in Greater Boston, with a focus on Middlesex County and nearby communities. The facility and start schedule are not confirmed yet. Join the interest list to hear when those details are ready.
Regular lessons for swimmers under 3 are not currently planned for launch. We would still love to hear from you. Interest from families will help guide future early-years programming.
You do not need to choose a level to join the interest list. When lesson options are ready, Trident will learn more about your swimmer’s experience and comfort, then recommend a starting level. Families can share their preferred lesson format.
Yes. Teens ages 13–17 and adults ages 18+ can join the interest list for private or semi-private lessons. Teen lessons use child/teen pricing; adults use adult pricing. Beginners and swimmers refining their technique are welcome. A parent or legal guardian completes the form for a swimmer under 18; adults can inquire for themselves.
